What to Expect From a Breathwork Session in NYC

Before the Session
You don't need any breathwork experience to join an IMpowerBreath™ session. Most people arrive a little curious and a little unsure what to expect, and that's completely normal. We start by grounding into the space together, setting an intention, and talking briefly about what conscious connected breathing involves so your nervous system knows what's coming.
During the Session
You'll lie down comfortably while guided through a specific breathing pattern set to music. As the session builds, it's common to feel sensations move through the body: tingling, temperature changes, emotional waves, or a sense of deep release. There's no single 'right' experience. Facilitators stay present throughout to help you feel safe as things arise.
After the Session
Integration is just as important as the breathing itself. We close with quiet reflection time and space to share, if you'd like to. Many people leave feeling lighter, clearer, or simply more present in their bodies. It's normal for insights or emotions to keep surfacing gently over the following day or two.
Who Breathwork Is For
Breathwork can support people managing anxiety, stress, grief, or a general sense of feeling stuck or disconnected from their bodies. It's not a replacement for therapy, but it pairs well with other trauma-informed and somatic work. If you're curious whether it's right for you, reach out and we can talk it through before you join a session.
