About
The Story
IMpower™ was born from lived experience.
An integrative, relational, and embodied approach to self-awareness, growth, and expansion.
Hi, I’m Marina Imberg-Zurakhinsky.
IMpower™ emerged from both personal and professional experience — from navigating life transitions, motherhood, stress, healing, growth, and the deep desire to reconnect with myself in more authentic and meaningful ways.
Throughout my life and work, I have been drawn to understanding people, relationships, emotional well-being, and what helps us feel more grounded, connected, and whole. My path has been shaped by many roles — educator, facilitator, community builder, wellness practitioner, mother, and lifelong learner — all of which have deepened my understanding of what it means to support healing, self-awareness, and transformation.
For over 20 years, I have worked in education, leadership, and community-based programming, creating spaces where children, families, educators, and communities could learn, connect, and thrive. As the founder of an educational enrichment community and a mother of three, I have also witnessed firsthand the realities of caregiving, emotional overwhelm, parenting, burnout, and the constant balancing act so many individuals and families navigate. These experiences continue to shape the way I hold space — with warmth, practicality, curiosity, and compassion, recognizing that healing and growth happen within the realities of everyday life.
Alongside this work, my own journey led me deeper into somatic practices, mindfulness, nervous system regulation, breathwork, movement, sound, relational work, and embodied healing approaches.
What became clear to me is this: so many of us move through life disconnected from ourselves — overwhelmed, stressed, carrying emotional experiences in our bodies, often without the time, space, or support to slow down and truly listen inward. I created IMpower™ as a space to pause.
A space to reconnect.
A space to reset.
A space to come back to yourself.
Not from a place of fixing, but from a place of curiosity, compassion, awareness, and possibility.
Because I believe meaningful change begins within.
This work is not about fixing what is broken.
It is about remembering what is already within you.
My Approach
My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, relational, and embodied approach to healing and growth. I integrate somatic practices, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, movement, breath, sound, reflective inquiry, and relational approaches to support deeper self-awareness, emotional well-being, and meaningful transformation.
At the heart of this work is the belief that healing happens not only through insight, but through connection — connection to the body, the nervous system, emotions, patterns, relationships, and the wisdom already within us.
The IMpowerMethod™ reflects an integrative approach that supports nervous system regulation, emotional processing, embodiment, and deeper connection to self and others. Through individual and group experiences, I create supportive spaces for people to pause, reconnect, reset, and cultivate greater presence, resilience, and self-awareness.
Training & Certifications
I hold a Master’s Degree in Education and am currently completing a clinical Master of Social Work (MSW) at New York University while pursuing advanced training in trauma-informed, somatic, relational, and mind–body approaches to healing. My training includes the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy (ICP) Trauma Training Program, Somatic Experiencing® (SE™), and the Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research Certificate Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), alongside ongoing studies in nervous system regulation, interpersonal neurobiology, embodiment, Multichannel Eye Movement Integration (MEMI), breathwork, movement, sound, Reiki, and trauma-informed care.
My work reflects an integrative, relational, and embodied approach informed by somatic, Gestalt, humanistic, mindfulness-based, and trauma-informed perspectives. It is shaped not only through professional training, but also through meaningful personal exploration approached with care, responsibility, and presence — deepening my understanding of emotional processes, self-awareness, and the body’s capacity for healing, growth, and transformation.
IMpower™ is not psychotherapy. This work is grounded in trauma-informed principles and designed to support self-awareness, emotional well-being, connection, and personal growth.
